St. Petersburg College, University Partnership Center, St. Petersburg, Florida

The HADP goal in design of the new building was to provide a flexible learning environment that could successfully support and adapt to the various needs of 14 different institutional users and an even greater number of programs.

St. Petersburg College created a unique alliance with 14 Florida Universities in a program called the University Partnership Center. The building provides 90,000 s.f. and houses facilities for student services, administration, a café, and a bookstore. The facility includes a 350-seat digital auditorium, 23 classrooms (some interactive), 2 science labs, 1 virtual reality classroom, 1 video/audio production classroom, a multi-use lobby space (2 story), administrative information services, and an information commons.

This building is expandable by 50,000 s.f. for the needs of future growth. The building is one of the most technologically advanced facilities at the University and houses some of the most unique programs in the state of Florida.
