Georgia Southwestern University, Southwestern Oaks and Southwestern Pines Student Housing, Americus, Georgia

The HADP goal for the project was to design the very best student housing on the campus in conjunction with a privatized developer-managed team performing the work.

HADP Architecture provided the architectural design services for a 635 bed multi-phase project for the Georgia Southwestern State University Comprehensive Student Housing Plan. The 27 million dollar project consists of two phases. Both Phases of new on-campus student housing, Southwestern Oaks and Southwestern Pines, provide the GSW campus with a revived student living/learning experience which will attract and retain prospective students.

Dr. Kendall Blanchard, Interim President of GSW stated "They are state of the art, and today’s students want those kinds of facilities, they want to come here and have a comfortable place to live. Apartment style living, that’s what these things offer. We are convinced it plays a major role in not only beautifying the campus, but also making it more attractive to new students."

Southwestern Oaks includes 404 beds and Southwestern Pines includes 231 beds. The entire project was delivered 3 months ahead of schedule.
