Broward Community College, North Campus Student Services Building, Davie, Florida

The HADP goal for project was to create the frontispiece gateway to the Broward Community College North Campus, located at the center of the southern edge of the campus.

HADP Architecture provided complete Design and Construction phase services for the new Student Services Building on the Broward Community College North Campus. The location of this facility and its relationship to the existing campus were defined by a Master Plan that HADP prepared for BCC. The building serves as the main entry point to the academic campus by the students while relating to the other major functions on the campus. The other major functions included the Joint Use Library, the Omni Building and the Health Science Building.

The 64,000 s.f. building provides space for a variety of student services including registration, counseling, student government, clubs, cafeteria, financial services and the bookstore as well as administrative offices for the Dean. The building is the “front door” to the academic campus and will be linked to the existing buildings with covered walkways. The project also included the creation of a formal vehicular entry to the area along with alteration and expansion to the student parking lot.

The goal was to create a central location where students can interact with one another and gain access to the various services offered by the College. At the same time this facility will present a new public image of the College.
