Abbey Delray Health Center, Delray Beach, Florida

The HADP goal for the project was to implement major improvements on the existing fully functioning health campus center without disruption to the quality of life of the clients.

HADP was selected to provide complete architectural design and interior design services for the Abbey Delray Health Center. The project consisted of a one-story, 114-bed skilled nursing facility addition and remodeling with physical therapy, treatment rooms and administrative offices.

The four phase addition provided a major renovation to the 26-acre Senior Living campus of Abbey Delray. Special care was taken in planning the staging of the construction so as not to displace residents during the building process.

The first three phases were room additions, using the newest models of color-coded wayfinding, neighborhood clusters and privacy. All the rooms replaced a shared headboard wall separated by cubicle curtains, with more private and semi-private suites. The fourth phase will add an expanded commons package to the project including physical therapy, treatment rooms, and administrative offices.
