Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Expansion and Renovation, Atlanta, GeorgiaThe HADP goal for the project is to provide functional responsive, aesthetically pleasing and cost effective aviation design in an operational environment that is inside the main passenger areas of the world’s busiest airport. HADP Architecture, in conjunction with Harper Partners, was selected to lead the contract for continuing Architectural & Engineering Services for the Hartsfield Development Program ‘Focus on the Future.” The project awarded to Harper Partners forms part of the 10-Year Capital Improvement Program within the Airport Master Plan for the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (HJAIA). The contract selection of Harper Partners is within the context of the overall HJAIA program, which is the largest public works project in the history of the State of Georgia. The HADP Architecture team will provide technical, professional, architectural and engineering services for the huge airport improvement program designed to satisfy not only current aviation demand at Hartsfield but also the forecasted growth expected at the Atlanta facility. Hartsfield is currently the world's busiest airport and has consistently ranked as one of the highest rated airports in North America for airport performance and customer service. The HJAIA contract is expected to last for a period of 5 to 10 years. Various multi-year projects anticipated within the program award include renovations, improvements and expansions within the North and South Terminals and Concourses A, B, C, D, E and T. In total, the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport includes over 5 million s.f. and over 250 gates. |
