Northwest Airlines, Maintenance Facility, Atlanta, GeorgiaThe goal of the project was to design and deliver a major facility component necessary for maintaining the system-wide operational capability for a major U.S. airline. The flexibility of the design has accommodated the changes in the aviation industry since the project was completed. The structure contains maintenance shops, tool and parts storage, laboratories and office space, hangar space and aircraft storage, fuel island with gas/diesel storage, hardstand, and sentry station. The Northwest Airlines Maintenance Hanger was once owned by Republic Airlines and Southern Airways. |
