Southeastern University, Tuscana Ristorante Dining Facility, Lakeland, Florida

The HADP goal for the project is to invoke a fresh perspective into the dining hall while successfully integrating the project within the architectural style of the campus.

HADP Architecture provided design services for the Tuscana Ristorante dining facility on the campus of Southeastern University. The new 25,000 s.f. campus restaurant features a marché-style setup--island serving stations spread throughout--in order to keep up with student growth at the university.

The restaurant seats 750 people and replaces the old, 400-seat dining hall. Another 70 people can dine on the patio. In addition to having more space for general dining, the new facility contains 250 seats of banquet space, which can be converted into three rooms that serve 810, 170 or 250 people. The design offers diversity from a 20 foot tall central ceiling to a more intimate pizzeria and a French country venue.

The new building also features a presidential dining room that seats 30 people. The one-story, steel and concrete block construction facility is designed in the Mediterranean architectural style that HADP has transformed the entire campus into over the past decade.
