The HADP goal for the project is to offer modern and attractive housing that improves upon what is otherwise available and to enhance the lives of residences of the community.  Crystal Lake Apartments is the focal point for redevelopment efforts of the Broward County Housing Authority. Residents enjoy all the amenities of an upscale area at affordable rental fees.  The gated community includes 190 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom units, a community center, exercise facility, computer lab and swimming pool, as well as waterfront views in some units. A unique aspect of this project is that it remains 100 percent affordable housing with an allotted 15 percent set aside for very low-income households. The process utilized effective financing methods and respectful consideration of residents.
